The RSLWA Women’s Network (RSLWAWN)

To seek input and policy direction from women, and to support and encourage their greater participation in the veteran community.

Introducing the RSLWAWN

We need to be relevant, strategic and approachable and have a voice about where we see the RSL heading into the future. The RSL needs to be more inclusive of women and more family friendly in the way we operate.

The RSLWA Women’s Network (RSLWAWN) has been initiated by the Returned & Services League of Australia (WA Branch). The purpose of the network is to seek input and policy direction from women and to support and encourage their greater participation in the veteran community.

The RSLWAWN is specifically designed to include ex-service, serving, reservists, affiliates, partners and mothers of serving members. The group provides support and advice relating to:

  • Overseeing the development of an annual forum of events and programs;
  • Overseeing the development of strategies to encourage ongoing women’s’ participation in the RSLWA; and
  • Advising the Board of Directors on issues and projects relating to our network.
