Welfare Assistance

The RSLWA Welfare Assistance program provides a full range of welfare services to the veteran community.

Whether it’s to meet short or long term needs, our team is here.

The RSLWA was founded to help those who defended our nation and to provide assistance to those who took the oath, as well as their families. Our motto is “serving those who served”.

Welfare Assistance comes in a variety of forms, including monetary payments and vouchers for bills, food, education and transport, housing assistance, emergency housing relief and even home and hospital visits. We can further lend a hand with advocacy, crisis counselling and assistance, overseas pension applications and referral to other required services. All applications are treated with the strictest confidence, allowing you to maintain your privacy.

Our welfare officer, Rosalind Howat, has worked with the RSLWA for the past decade. With over twenty-five years of industry experience, Rosalind is respectful, highly skilled and dedicated to assisting those in need.

It is advised to book a face-to-face appointment with Rosalind in order to best gain assistance. Applicants are required to provide proof of service, financial situation and quote or account from the service provider.
