Bakers Hill RSL Sub-Branch Remembrance Day Service was conducted in Hooper Park, Bakers Hill commencing at 10.45am.

Over 100 people attended, which was quite good considering the heat and humidity on the day. Three Bakers Hill School Students presented an excellent address on “Why Remembrance Day isImportant”.

Students also sang “The Last ANZAC” and the “National Anthem”.

The heat/humidity was a problem, and there wasn’t one person I spoke to who didn’t comment on it. It was probably the hottest Remembrance Day since the Sub-Branch started conducting services 11 years ago.

Two members of the Avon Valley Troop of the 10th Light Horse also attended and added an extra touch to the service.

Thank you all for attending.
