Chidlow Remembrance Day

Chidlow District RSL members were proud to hold a and a Remembrance Day Service.

The Dedication was conducted by the Reverend Jean Routley, who stated that this Memorial is a reminder to all of the sacrifices made by the men and women who gave their lives in service to their country in the cause of justice, peace and freedom.

The Remembrance Day Service followed and was addressed by Bill Gaynor OAM RFD past president of RSLWA.

Major Jason Kingston-Wee, the master of ceremonies, then invited the laying of the wreaths.

John Daw, Mundaring Shire President; Jessica Shaw MLA; Corrina Caswell, Acting Chidlow RSL Sub-Branch President were followed by several members of the public who laid wreaths and sprays on behalf of other organisations and private individuals wishing to pay their respects.

Following the Ode and The Last Post, a minutes silence was observed.

After Rouse and The Lord's Prayer, Fran Berry led the singing of our National Anthem.
