RESOLUTE for those who serve
Consulting Psychiatrist Dr Richard Magtengaard is dedicated to assisting Defence personnel, ex-service Veterans and first-responders who’ve sustained physical and psychological traumas during duty.

The service provides assessment and treatment for those experiencing mental health issues in their lives across a broad range of disabling conditions.

Lions Hearing Clinic
Untreated hearing loss is associated with an increased risk of cognitive impairment, poor quality of life, social isolation, depression, anxiety and even dementia. But a hearing aid or cochlear implant can lead to improved hearing-related and general-health related quality of life.
The Lions Hearing Clinic will be providing Veterans and their families with comprehensive hearing assessments, hearing aids, hearing protection, tinnitus rehabilitation, cochlear implants and other hearing implants. The qualified team of audiologists will guide each Veteran from assessment to the right and most appropriate hearing solution. To book, call 1800 054 667.
Veteran Central Clinical Psychiatry
Kate Negoescu has been in private practice for many years – but for the past eight, her clinical interest has been PTSD. During this time, Kate has learned that veterans’ presentations are complex and did not always meet the diagnostic criteria for current PTSD, or PTSD remitted.
Kate provides trauma-focused therapy for PTSD, including cognitive therapy and EMDR – and intends working in collaboration with our other service providers to ensure those who have served our country get the same quality of emotional and physical health that many civilians take for granted.
To book, call 0439 666616.

This is where RSLWA headquarters is based. As well as all your admin and membership needs, we have a Veteran Services Team providing three vital services to veterans and their families. They are:
- Invest In A Veteran employment service: Invest In A Veteran is a new service tackling the high levels of under-employment in ex-service personnel. It is open to Australian and Allied Veterans with current Australian working rights, as well as their partners. Our in-house specialist will help get resumes work ready (demilitarising them for the civilian world), while providing career counselling, interview coaching, personal branding, and instilling belief and motivation back into those who’ve taken a hit to their self-esteem. For those who are not quite work ready, we also facilitate referrals to both internal welfare and external services that will support the Veteran to make a positive change in their life. Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org
- Welfare support: Assistance comes in a variety of forms, including monetary payments and vouchers for bills, food, education and transport, housing assistance, emergency housing relief, funeral costs and even home and hospital visits. We can further lend a hand with advocacy, crisis counselling and assistance, overseas pension applications and referral to other required services. All applications are treated with the strictest confidence, allowing you to maintain your privacy. Contact: email@example.com
- Advocacy Support: Our Veteran Service team provides Advocacy assistance through claims with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs (DVA), along with assistance in the appeal process up to the level of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. Our team understand the complexities of the claims process, how the legislation applies to a veteran’s individual circumstances and the processes involved in applying for compensation, income support, Gold/White cards and health cards.
