J.J. received a framed citation and a silver ANZAC plaque.
On 20 November 2017 John James Joseph Wade, turned 100 years of age.
The Rat of Tobruk veteran has witnessed so much of the 20th century including the aftermath of the Great War, the effects of the Depression and the years of relief until the advent of World War II.
It was then witnessing the massive social and technological changes of post-WWII and what it meant to Australia and its Veterans.
RSLWA President Peter Aspinall presented J.J. with a framed citation and a silver ANZAC plaque to acknowledge the occasion.
