HMAS Stirling's Freedom of Entry to the City of Rockingham

The City of Rockingham granted a Freedom of Entry to HMAS Stirling on Saturday, 9 September 2023.

The last time HMAS Stirling was granted a Freedom of Entry was 35 years ago, in November 1988 to celebrate Rockingham becoming a City.

This year, the rare civic event marked 45 years since HMAS Stirling was commissioned and 112 years since Garden Island was selected as a naval base.
