The Rottnest Island Authority takes great pride in coordinating the Dawn Service on Rottnest Island to honour those servicemen and women who died in war and on operational service.
Commencing with the playing of the Lament as the sun rises over the Indian Ocean, the service also acknowledges the Island’s long military history.
Following the Dawn Service, visitors are treated to ANZAC Day themed activities and have the opportunity to attend tours of the Oliver Hill guns and tunnels.
Around 2,000 people joined the RIA and the Rottnest Island community to commemorate ANZAC Day in 2017.
