Veteran Artists & Photographers: Share Your Legacy
As part of our ongoing commitment to recognising contemporary service, RSL WA is seeking submissions of art, photographs and commemorative objects from the 'Fourth Wave' of Australian service or ex-service personnel who were deployed on operations or at home between 1999–2015.
The Fourth Wave cohort, as defined by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs, is now Australia's single largest group of veterans, comprising those who served in:
- East Timor
- Iraq
- Afghanistan
- Other service, including, but not limited to peacekeeping or service in Australia
We are seeking four pieces, each representing one of these categories, to be displayed at Anzac House from 10 November 2025, in time for Remembrance Day.
This is an opportunity to tell your stories, in your own way, and share it with the wider community. Whether it’s a photograph, a painting, or a personal object, the exhibit will help deepen public understanding of modern service and honour the legacy of those who served alongside you.
The existing items on display will remain valued and preserved, we are simply adding new perspectives to better reflect the breadth of modern service.
How to submit
We invite members and the broader veteran community to submit entries for consideration by our selection committee.

Submissions close Monday 20 October.
