GoldsWorthy Veterans + Families Centre

Coming soon! 1/65 Dixon Road, Rockingham WA 6168

Opening in Autumn 2026, the RSL WA Goldsworthy Veterans and Families Centre (GVFC) in Rockingham will offer veteran-centric programs offering connection, healing, education and wellbeing for current and former Australian Defence Force (ADF) members, their families and carers.

Funded by the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), the purpose-built centre will deliver a new model of integrated support, bringing together a number of veteran services and advocacy organisations under one roof.

The Goldsworthy Centre is part of a national network of Veterans and Families Hubs, whose mission is to strengthen partnerships with ex-service organisations, healthcare providers and community groups to provide seamless, coordinated and holistic care to our Defence veterans and families.

The GVFC will act as a central access point for advocacy, wellbeing and transition support by connecting individuals with essential services, including local RSL WA Sub-Branches.

Why Goldsworthy

Named in honour of Lieutenant Commander Leon Verdi Goldsworthy GC DSC GM, Australia’s most decorated naval officer of the Second World War, the Centre reflects his legacy of courage, service and community.

Goldsworthy (known as Goldy to his peers, including the Duke of Edinburgh), was a long-time Perth resident and respected member of Highgate RSL. He exemplified resilience and dedication – values that will live on through the Centre’s mission.

Location

Located in the heart of Rockingham’s Defence community – just minutes from HMAS Stirling – the Centre will be easily accessible by public transport and will be a vibrant space for veteran life.
