RSL WA has entered a 12-month partnership agreement with Purslowe & Chipper Funerals in Western Australia. The partnership brings together two organisations united by a commitment to dignity, respect and service — supporting WA veterans and their families through life and honouring them in their final farewell.
Under the agreement, Purslowe & Chipper will provide sponsorship to help sustain RSL WA’s frontline welfare, advocacy and chaplaincy services, enabling vital support for veterans navigating health, financial and transition challenges. RSL members will receive a $250 discount on funeral arrangements through Purslowe & Chipper.
At the heart of the collaboration is a shared commitment to getting a veteran’s commemoration right. RSL WA’s volunteer chaplaincy service will deliver specialised training to Purslowe & Chipper staff on conducting veteran-appropriate funeral services — covering the veteran’s experiences and values, commemoration protocols, single-service variations, flag folding and artefact handling, and compassionate pre-ceremony engagement with the bereaved.
Purslowe & Chipper will also host information sessions at RSL Sub-Branches and local branches, giving members and their families a supportive space to plan with confidence and to de-stigmatise conversations around funeral planning.
