Hayley Edwards

Hayley Edwards (FGIA GAICD) is a new Board Director at RSLWA and a former Royal Australian Air Force medic, recognised with a Commander’s Commendation for her role in the 2002 Bali bombings response. Deeply committed to the well-being of veterans and their families, she has been instrumental in initiatives such as the Homeless Veteran Memorial in Rockingham and the creation of “The Homeless Soldier” poem, recognised as a Place of Pride with the National Register of War Memorials,  which honours those who have served and now face homelessness.

With over 25 years’ leadership experience across Defence, healthcare, emergency services and local government, including service in Local Government, Independent Director, Chair and business owner for over 12 years, she brings a proven track record in strategic growth, governance and community impact. Drawing on this breadth of experience, she helps ensure RSLWA remains a trusted, future‑focused organisation delivering meaningful, enduring outcomes for the veteran community and their families.
