Providing assistance to Veterans and their Families

RSLWA offers assistance to Veterans, their spouses and families in various ways, including:

  •  Helping with compensation claims through the Department of Veterans' Affairs
  • Facilitating emergency financial assistance
  • Providing referrals to peer support groups and other specialist services
  • Finding short term crisis accommodation

Along with our supporters, RSLWA provides events, programs and information sessions throughout the year to assist Veterans and their families. These include social events at Sub-Branches, and working in collaboration with Working Spirit to ease the transition from military to civilian life.

RSLWA holds commemorative services on ANZAC Day and Remembrance Day, including appeals to raise funds for Veterans' welfare and advocacy assistance.

Educational resources and event support is also available for schools, Sub-Branches and others wishing to hold commemorative services or fundraising appeals.
